Over the weekend U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, alongside top New Hampshire Democrats, hosted multiple campaign events across the state, opening the NHDP coordinated campaign’s eighth New Hampshire campaign office. She delivered remarks aimed at mobilizing support and highlighting the stark contrasts between the Democratic and Republican platforms as the 2024 election approaches.
In speeches, Klobuchar, a vocal advocate for the Biden administration, criticized former President Donald Trump’s policies and his recent statements, emphasizing the risks she believes Trump poses to healthcare and reproductive rights.
“He’s promised to terminate the Affordable Care Act. You know what that will mean in New Hampshire,” Klobuchar said, referring to Trump’s threats against the healthcare law.

She also lambasted Trump for his boast about overturning Roe v. Wade, linking his rhetoric to broader Republican agendas that threaten abortion access.
“Just recently, the day before the Arizona Supreme Court banned abortion in their state based on an 1864 law he said, on video — he said these words — ‘I am proudly the person who overturned Roe v Wade.’”
The events also featured former DNC Member Billy Shaheen, NH Senate Democratic Leader Donna Soucy, state Senator Cindy Rosenwald, state Rep. Laura Telerski, Nashua Alderman Derek Thibeault, and KR Epstein, VP of Political Affairs for the NH Young Dems. Together, they presented a unified Democratic front, stressing the importance of maintaining Democratic leadership both nationally and within New Hampshire.
While the Biden-Harris campaign is expanding its ground operations in New Hampshire, the Trump campaign has not announced plans to increase its presence in the state, a fact noted by Klobuchar in her remarks.
