Singer-songwriter Rebecca Turmel will be performing for free at Crotched Mountain. Tumel originally aspired for a career in musical theater, but her journey took a turn when she taught herself to play the guitar. Her latest release, “Twenty Years From Now,” is a cover that shows how she infuses each song with her storytelling ability.

Derry
Immerse yourself in the magic of winter at LaBelle Lights. Stroll along a path adorned with over a million twinkling lights, transforming the surroundings into a festive outdoor spectacle. Admission covers access to special theme weeks, such as this weekend’s ugly sweater theme. Open Tuesday-Sunday from 4:30- 9:30 p.m. through Jan. 7.

Tour the 1830s Averill House Vineyard in Brookline. Taste four of the family-owned vineyard’s wines while enjoying a charcuterie board. Then bottle, cork, foil, and label your own to take home. You can also take a stroll through lush vines, breathe in the aromas, and discover the craftsmanship behind each bottle.
White Mountains
Jan. 5-7, 6 p.m.
Gorham
Take a guided 3.8-mile snowshoe trek through the White Mountains from Joe Dodge Lodge in Pinkham Notch to a rustic hut. You’ll explore the forest, track animals, and see the winter night sky. The trek is for adults and is considered moderate to difficult. Snowshoes or MicroSpikes can be borrowed. Hut accommodations include a wood stove heat for the common space and cooking facilities. Guests should note that the bunk rooms are not heated.

Brooklyn based twin brothers, Brother Brothers, is coming to the Music Hall Lounge in Portsmouth. The siblings mix soulful harmonies with acoustic folk sounds to produce their own unique musical experience. Hailing from Illinois, the Moss brothers released their debut album, “Some People I Know,” in 2018. Raised in Peoria, Illinois, their musical roots trace back to singing along with their dad’s diverse record collection, featuring artists like the Kingston Trio, the Everly Brothers, the Beatles, and the Beach Boys.
